Float

Float is a hip-hop laced ode to rainy mid-1990s Seattle centered around a first generation Cambodian immigrant trying to find his place in the world. Still living at home with his family, Rocky Mang, spends his days cruising the streets of Seattle, slanging cheap goods on the corner as he struggles to help his family make ends meet. His days are a hazy wash of grinding and hustling, only broken by his persistent attempts to convince a local barista named Jenni-Mo Day to go on a date.

Fabricating “The Four Seasons of Flower Fruit Mountain”

Over the course of 2023 and 2024 I was commissioned to document the construction of “The Four Seasons of Flower Fruit Mountain,” a large scale bronze installation artwork commissioned by Hong Kong art collector Rosalind Wong and fabricated by Los Angeles based artist David Wiseman.

To capture such a colossal commission the natural choice for documentation felt like a multi-panel fly-on-the-wall ASMR approach creating an immersive video where a viewer could truly get lost in the fabrication journey. Initially conceived to play in a gallery as a compendium to Wiseman’s works, the complete film is presented here in the original three panel multi-channel format. The piece is quiet, immersive, meditative and contemplative and is meant to provide a small peak into the artist’s mind and process.

For this work I served as director, photographer, editor, and colorist.

Zero Zero

Zero Zero traces a day-in-the-life of blind ultra-distance hiker Trevor Thomas. The film is meant to be a window into Trevor's world and an impressionistic depiction of how he experiences life on the trail.
For the best experience of this film, we strongly urge you to watch the film with either headphones or a good sound system in a dark quiet room. The experience is auditory just as much as it is visual and begins with an extended purely audio-only introduction.
